Where would you like to live next year 2009-10?
We advise that applications from current students who wish to live in University accommodation for the 2009/10 academic year as Returners, has now closed*.
The closing date was January 31 2009.
We will now process all received applications up to the closing date, and offers of accommodation will be issued from approximately the end of February to your current term time address.
However, you can still apply for University owned / managed properties, although numbers of places are limited.

*If you want to be added to the waiting list for University accommodation please email Javed Rehman via rehmanj@bham.ac.uk including your full name, student ID, current address and where you would like to be allocated a room with "Returner 2009/10 and your student ID number in the subject menu.

Will I be living with other returning students?
Where possible we will try to place returners together.
When can I move in?
All contracts will start on 21 September 2009. However, if your current contract expires on 4 September 2009 it maybe possible to extend your stay until your new contract starts. You must advise us on your application of your request and a charge will be levied.
What happens once I have returned my contract and pre-payment for halls?
Your room is reserved for you and your pre-payment credited towards your residence fees.
What happens once I have returned my contract and deposit for University owned & managed properties?
Your room is reserved for you and your deposit will be refunded at the end of the contract unless it is needed to cover any cleaning / repairs costs over the tenancy period.
What happens if I change my mind?
If you change your mind before you have signed and paid just inform Housing Services and your application will be cancelled.
If you change your mind after you have signed and paid you will remain liable for your contract. You should only accept the accommodation on the understanding that you will remain for the full contract period. For further information please contact Housing Services.
How long have I got to apply?
The closing date for applications was 31January 2009. No further applications can be received online.
