FCH (Friendship, Care and Housing) Only full time postgraduate students or members of staff are eligible for this accommodation.
These flats are owned by Friendship Housing and managed by the University of Birmingham. They are in the Moseley area of Birmingham, which is approximately 3 miles from campus. The types of accommodation are:

| 1 Bedroom Flats | Self contained accommodation suitable for one person or a couple. Double bedroom, living area, separate kitchen and separate bathroom. The rent for this type of property is £454.60 per calendar month (subject to review October annually) |
| 2 Bedroom Flats |
Self contained accommodation suitable for a small family. Two bedrooms - 1 double room, (the second will vary in size), living area, separate kitchen and separate bathroom. The rent for this type of property is £492.39 per calendar month (subject to review October annually). |
All flats are partly furnished. Kitchens are equipped with a cooker, fridge/freezer and usually a washing machine. You will need to provide your own crockery and kitchen equipment. Bedding and towels are not provided.
All properties have telephone points and TV aerials, but tenants are responsible for connections, bills, licences, etc. The monthly rent does include the water rates. Tenants are responsible for payment of their own gas and electricity bills and where applicable, Council Tax (Band A).
A deposit of £250.00 is required. Limited insurance cover is also included.
STAFF Only academic and research fellows are eligible for this accommodation.
Accommodation ranges from cottages, four bed houses to 1 bed flats near or on the university campus. All flats are fully furnished. ALTA Shared houses for single undergraduates and postgraduates.
Contracts begin and end in September and are 50 weeks in length. There maybe vacant rooms throughout the academic year should you wish to enquire about shorter contract lengths. The Alta properties are shared 3, 4, and 5 bed houses situated in the Selly Oak area and are within 5 - 25 minutes walk from the main Edgbaston campus.
You will share bathroom, kitchen and lounge facilities. Undergraduates will not be allocated with postgraduates and vice versa unless all persons concerned express a desire to do so.
All houses are partly furnished and each bedroom has a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, study desk and chair. Tenants are responsible for telephone and Internet connection and the payment of their own gas and electricity bills.
Rent ranges from £57 to £65 per week. A deposit of £250.00 is required. Limited insurance cover is also included.
A six bed shared house for postgraduates is situated on the Selly Oak Campus. Rent for this accommodation will include gas, electricity costs, and basic insurance. The prices range from £66.20 to £78.17
A deposit of £250.00 is required.
FAMILY UNITS These are available to students and their families only.
These properties range from 2 bed flats to a 4-bedroom house. These units are very popular and the demand always outweighs the supply.
Rent ranges from £576.67 to £729.97 per month, which includes gas, electricity costs and basic insurance. A deposit of £250.00 is required.
