Trains
The University has its own train station on campus, making travel to the University by train a convenient option for those who live in areas served by the Cross City Line which runs from Lichfield to Redditch and for others who use services to Bromsgrove and Worcester.

Central Connect run a service from the campus to the University Residences.
The new Selly Shuttle Bus service will commence 26th October 2009. This service will run from the Barber Institute to the Selly Oak Campus with one stop at the Munrow Sports Centre and is a free service on production of your student or staff ID card. Click Here for timetable Information.
Bicycles
The University of Birmingham encourages use of bicycles and continues to improve the facilities available:
- work with Birmingham University Bicycle User Group (BUBUG)
- make the campus safer and more congenial for cyclists
- provide secure, well-lit and convenient cycle parking facilities
- aim to bring the numbers of cycle racks up to 1,000
